This project invites participants on a contemplative journey toward spiritual unity, transcending cultural boundaries and the politics of ‘othering.’ By intertwining themes of unity and non-dualism, “I : XOD” encourages introspection, fostering a sense of belonging in an increasingly fragmented world.

The visual component of “I : XOD” features intricate networks of lines and words, written in over 40 languages, all representing the letter "I." These visuals evoke the neural pathways of the brain, symbolizing the shared human experience that connects individuals beyond divisions of language and identity. As participants move through the installation, they are immersed in this dynamic, evolving representation of collective human consciousness.

Sound plays a critical role in “I : XOD”, blending electronic music with the artist’s voice reciting poetry from Rumi. The soundscape, at times ethereal and at times rhythmic, evokes both the mystical and emotional aspects of the ecstatic Sufi experience. The fusion of traditional poetry with modern electronic sound creates a sonic journey that mirrors the installation’s exploration of interconnectedness and spiritual awakening.

Through this immersive experience, “I : XOD” urges participants to reflect on their role in a divided world, to transcend cultural and ideological barriers, and to embrace unity in diversity.
